I told her that I am signing the paper but will do a thorough check next day in daylight and will send the pictures of any new damages if I find other than listed in the contract. Because of improper visibility and weather conditions we were not able to check the car properly and explained this to her. After signing the paperwork, the customer rep (Agne Kryzeviciene) asked us to take a walk around the car to look for any dents or scratches other than mentioned in the contract. It was bit drizzling and the car was parked in dark spot in their parking. We booked a Jeep Renegade(orange) with Green Motion on 19th Dec-2018 from their Keflavik, Iceland location and picked the car around 12:30 AM. Green Motion is running a SCAM and charging customers for PREEXISTING car damages I am so angry at them, I hope the next customers won't do the same mistakes as I did and read those reviews before booking with these thieves. What can I do now? I'm in Canada trying to argue with an unprofessional company who stole me without any concern. In the estimation, they estimated paint for the whole door! Plus, as I said at the beginning, my "scratches" will just add up to the other chips since they won't do the repair! I challenged them for that and they told be that they would repair the scratches before selling the car at the end of its life. It cost 125 000 isk for that little scratch. Got a reply 12h later and the balance of my deposit 24h after. I had to send them an email 40 days later to ask them what was going on. So they withdraw the 290 000 isk off my credit card and told me I could expect up to one month before having news from them. They found a little scratch off the rear door and said it was because of the brush at the gaz station!! The scratch was so tiny that we could barely see it on our pictures. She said that we could use the brushes in the gaz station, whipe it a little, and vaccum as well to avoid having extra cleaning fees.Īt the drop off, things got worst. I also made sure to ask the lady (she was really nice btw) if there would be any extra fees if the car if dirty on the outside. talking about paint damage, there was rock chips all around the car, something normal I would say for a 100 000 km rental car. It was really hard to make the visual inspection for the paint damage. Then, at the inspection, it was dark outside and the car black and was soaking wet. First, at the pickup, we were really surprised when they froze 290 000 isk off my credit card (I declined their insurance, I have car rental insurance with my credit card). I had an horrible experience with green motion. Our advice - stay away from this company. While we were at the pickup office, another couple were being charged $800 for a very minor window chip which could not be detected (we looked). We will never use this company again and would advise anyone else to stay clear from this company - or if not, make sure to have very good insurance coverage. We tried to explain that the door was difficult from the very beginning but they were absolutely adamant that it was our fault. On the last day we returned the van and explained it to the company who immediately told us it was our fault and they would require $500 on the visa as insurance deductible. As well, our family rented two Volkswagen vans with this company - although we were picked up in a timely way from the airport, on one of the vans, the driver's door was slightly difficult to open which we didn't find out until we were on the road throughout the trip it became more difficult (our son who is a mechanic felt that the door required an adjustment only, but without tools we couldn't do it).
